French musician Saudaá Group in residence at Listhús (Olafjsjordur) will invite icelandic musician Ingibjörg Ýr Skarphéðinsdóttir to play a 20' sound piece mixing mechanical music, field recordings, electronics and folk instruments.
More about musicians Alexis Paul a.k.a Saudaá Group is a parisian musician and cultural actor dedicated to producing poetic contents. He is currently involved in a one-year-long tour experimenting the barrel organ possibilities and working with local musicians around the world. He is a member of Belle Arché Lou and Dianthus, has collaborated with Alma Forrer, Hraïr Hratchian and Benoît Pioulard. He found Humanist music, Armures Provisoires and is currently working towards creating a "poetic magic group".
Ingibjörg Ýr Skarphéðinsdóttir is an icelandic musician. She just finished her BA degree in music composition at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. She sings and plays the piano and clarinet. She recently started to experiment with the Icelandic fiddle and langspil and is very interested in folk music and native culture from all over the world.
